Saving As Many Dogs as We Can

At North Star Rescue, we know that older dogs are most at risk to be euthanized, it's a sad reality for rescues BUT not one we have to accept.  We want to save all dogs in need, and show them the love that they deserve!  

We take in every dog that needs help and if we cannot find them a home, they can live out their years with the rest of our senior pack.  Our senior pack is a group of old pups (or pups with deformities or serious health problems) that hang out together, just like a pack should be.  They help to discipline the puppies and are great role models for the newly rescued pups!

The leader of our pack, Scout, is a wise old man of 14 years! He was rescued from a backyard breeding puppy mill (that is shut down now!) and has been with Mandee and her family since.  He keeps our pack in line and welcomes all the new pups!
